CLD #355

For the Refua Shlema of Mordechai Tzvi ben Sara, Avner ben Zulai & Binyamin ben Blanka.
Everyone is lost today. Most of the world is searching for something, they waste their energies looking into their phones, into their wallets to reach satisfaction, even just to look for a friend, a true friend is difficult today. And even if you do find a true friend, it is so easy to get into a fight and lose him/her so quickly!
So, how do you stay friends with someone? The Torah HaKdosha has an answer for that too! The Torah actually has an answer for everything.
Yes, everything. We need to begin realize the that truest and happiest way to live is with the Torah at our side! In reality, the highest form of doing something is to do it because G-d said so, it is called LeShem Shamayim (literally: in the name of Heaven). The added bonus is the fact that living the life leads to the most satisfying and joyful life there is to have. Of course all beginnings are difficult, but after a huge amount on effort to show Hashem you really mean it (and remember: He sees the most detailed parts of your heart, physically and emotionally), the reward pays off (also the reward for the Olam Haba).
The Orchot Tzadikkim teaches that a friend is someone who will push you to get closer to Hashem, not one who will smile and nod at everything you say and do. In Sha’ar HaSinah, the Gate of Hatred (and the problems with this form of life), the author (who left the book anonymous, written over 300 years ago) explains the way to stay friendly and have a real connection of friendly love is by visiting him/her from time to time, and NOT to visit him/her constantly! The constant visit of a friend is a true way to reach hatred.
And without blinking twice everyone can think of a friend that they lost or stopped being close with because of constant attention or constant connection.

What is so beautiful about this? Being with Hashem is different. Hashem is not a friend, or even a police office, Hashem is a Father, the ultimate Father with an endless fortune waiting to give to YOU, you just need to show Him you walk in His path, and He will give you EVERYTHING YOU NEED!
The Torah is the endless tube of information and guide to life, and learning it is a Mitzvah! What a beauty!

Mitzvah Gedola Lehiyot BeSimcha & Simcha Gedola Lehiyot BeMitzvah!
