RIM, the company that manufactured the famous Blackberry smartphones, recently went bankrupt and they are trying to re-enter the cellphone market they once conquered. What was their biggest problem? They did not renew their products and kept their old and standard line of smartphones the same. They failed to consistently renew their products, they failed to add new features, and they failed to channel their winning features and products to new customers.
The biggest issue with us in our Avodat Hashem is our consistency. After a short while we look for new things, after all, we are human beings looking for the newest trend and design and fashion. We have it in our nature from Hashem to always look for the new and for the upgrade. Even in our generation, which is FILLED with distraction, we constantly look to excel and progress. No one says this is bad, but when we are manipulated to take it the wrong way for our Jewish activities we can easily lose our excitement for the Mitzvot.
How do we stick to the Mitzvot and to the power, strength and reviving energy we have for the Mitzvot? We constantly need to THINK and APPRECIATE all we have. The Orhot Tzadikkim brings down in Sha'ar Zechira (gate of rememberance) the power of THANKING Hashem for giving us the Torah and says we should remember this everyday. But don't we do that anyway throughout all our tefillot (prayers)? Don't we already say 'Hodu L'Hashem Ki Tov... Thank Hashem because all is good' every morning?! But the hidush (teaching) is not about saying it, but about FEELING it. The only way to actually delve into the love of the Mitzvot is to realize and repeat to ourselves how special we are to be Jewish.
RIM failed, let's do our best to avoid failing spiritually and start to THINK!

From Yalkut Yosef:
1. One who buys a new vessel/dish from a non Jew, he/she may not use it until they dipped it fully in the mikveh or in a river because our Hachamim (Sages) explained in Avodah Zarah 75b that these dishes must be dipped into the waters that a non pure woman dips into in order to be pure for marital relations (i.e. a mikveh). Our Hachamim discussed whether this law is from the Torah or decreed from the Rabbis, however this is simply a learning from the Pasuk in the Torah. On the other hand, from the words of Maran HaRav Shulhan Aruch, this law is directly from the Torah. The only law that is definitely a decree from the Rabbis is in regards to dipping a glass dish/vessel.
2. One needs to dip dishes that are made from all types of steel
and glass. One should also dip all pyrex and duralex dishes which is taught by
our Hachamim. However, in regards to clay and pottery or dishes that are made
from plastic, nylon or porcelain, there is no need to dip these dishes in the
mikveh.

What happened? After Yosef HaTzadik revealed himself to his brothers, he saw Binyamin (his brother from the same mother) after 22 years. On the spot both Binyamin and Yosef began crying on each others necks. Rashi brings down the famous Gemara from Masechet Megillah 16b that says that Yosef's two actions of falling and weeping on Binyamin's neck symbolizes two actions of the destrcution of the Bet HaMikdash. Binyamin's single action of weeping on Yosef's neck symbolizes the single destruction of Mishkan Shiloh (the tabernacle). Binyamin's tribe received from Hashem the plot of land where the Bet HaMikdash was going to be built. Yosef's plot of land included the place where Mishkan Shiloh was going to be built. All three were destroyed and all three are prophesied about from actions that the Shevatim (tribes) did in the time of the Torah.
It is known that one of the reasons the Bet HaMikdash was destroyed is because of Sinat Hinam, brotherly hatred. We see from this past Shabbat's Parasha (Bereshit 45:14) that the brothers had so much love for each other and for Hashem that they even wept on the future destructions of the places where Hashem was present. We see from this that to have real Ahavat Hinam is to be sad and upset for the others loss and to be TRULY HAPPY for another brother's HAPPY MOMENTS!
The points of thought of the fast of Asarah b'Tevet, of the Tenth of Tevet, is to think about the other Jew. We need to start seeing another Jew as another child of Hashem, and not a Jew from City X or Country Y (speaking to myself as well). Be'ezrat Hashem we should be filled with Torah and Mitzvot to continue really loving all Jews from EVERYWHERE. Also simply to have the feeling of Hashem's loss of home. Hashem is homeless. Jerusalem is not built completely. Jerusalem is still missing its structure and foundation! We might have Israel, but we still do not have the real Geula (redemption)!
