For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT’L.
“Religious people do not respect
their women!”
There is a huge misconception
today in the world that people believe if one is religious, because the woman
is covered up and ‘locked up’ at home, she is obviously treated like a pet or even treated like garbage.
People believe that because religious people do not show affection, even
touching in public, this shows that the relationship between the man and woman
is completely dead.
Rav Darmoni shlit’a broke down
the meaning of being religious and love according to the average religious
couple, which follow Hashem’s Torah HaKdosha.
Today, anyone who wants to sell
anything, even a simple beverage, has to put up on the ad a half clothed woman! Today a woman is seen as a
piece of garbage. A husband sees his wife as some place to go to meet his
desires. A popular line that is heard in the religious world is this: Why do
you love your girlfriend? Who says you love her? You don’t really love her, you
love what she does for you/what she substitutes.

This also makes sense with the
woman and what she chooses to cover. Any normal woman knows that the only way
she truly respects herself is by covering up. Everything that is important has
some type of limit to it. Let’s look at the most technologically advanced cell
phone in the entire world. The phone is the size of a credit card, it is
indestructible, throw it off the top of the empire state and it will look even
newer! How many people will the company sell the phone to? Not so many.

Seeing her in clothes that’s fit
for the rich people’s dogs in Manhattan is not the ideal woman. Period. No
matter what anyone says the Torah is the most normal guideline for life, the
Jewish religious woman is the way to go. If you have a hard time with this, go
to Bnei Brak (city in Israel) and just follow a religious Jewish woman for 24
hours. You will see the holiness behind her actions.
“Sheker HaChen VeHevel HaYofi Isha Yirat
Hashem Hi Tithalal,” (Charm is false and beauty is futile; a God-fearing woman
is to be praised) Mishlei 30:30.
