For the Refua Shlema of Mordechai Tzvi ben
Sara & Binyamin ben Blanka.
There are wicked people in the
world who say the Torah is not for me, this is crazy, get me away from this
stuff, and in general, the Torah is a “crazy book” (Chas VeChalilah). The Torah
HaKdosha is the book that was taught to Moshe Rabbenu which was given to Am
Yisrael over 3300 years ago, to be taught to all generations. How can someone
say that such a book, given from the Divine Presence of Hashem Elokenu, is a
crazy book? Maybe its because the ignorant attitude of this generation that
causes one to reach the lowest of low levels and say such a ridiculous thing.
We can continue to see the
kdusha and overall Chochma Elyona (High Wisdom) of Hashem in our Parasha bH we
will be hearing tomorrow in Shul: Parashat Shoftim. The Parasha explains how
the land of Eretz Yisrael promised to us will be divided and will have 9
special cities called Arei Miklat, where murderers who murdered BY ACCIDENT run
away to for safety and shelter. The Torah continues to explain that if a man
who HATES his friend murders him and then runs off to one of these cities
(Devarim 19:11) he will be taken out of the city by the Sages of the generation
and will be killed. What does this mean? Basically a person wanted to “trick”
Hashem and kill someone as if by accident and it was really on purpose. This
scheme is perfectly common, unfortunately, and the Torah says in huge words: I
am not Naïve!
But this is not all the beauty
we receive from this pasuk, the Chochma (wisdom) continues with Rashi’s
explanation. He explains that when one pushes to hate someone and thinks it is
not a big deal, he/she is completely wrong! Rashi says that a person who
violates the small acts that one is not allowed to do, such as Hating Someone
(which is a Mitzvah Lo Ta’aseh), it leads to violating the biggest Isurim one
needs to prevent him/herself from doing, which in this case is Shfichut Damim
(murder).

Disconnecting
is really the highest form of connection within yourself.
Shabbat
Shalom!
