1. It’s a Mitzvah to educate one’s children (under Bar
Mitzvah age of 13) to count the Omer everyday with a Beracha and even if the
child missed one day, they can still continue to count the Omer with a Beracha
because its for educational purposes.
2. A Katan (child
under 13) that became Bar Mitzvah during the days of the Omer, even though
during his days under 13 he would say the Omer with a Beracha every night and
did not miss a single day, he still needs to refrain from saying the Omer
Beracha for the rest of the time period and simply listen to the Beracha from
the Shaliakh Tzibbur (Hazzan).
