Taken from Yalkut Yosef:
1. If one's father has a chair in the home/work office/Shul and this chair looks different than other chairs, the son may not sit in it to respect his father. Even if the chair is not in the spot it usually stands when the father sits in it, the son is still forbidden to sit there for the respect of his father.
2. Even if a son is in the middle of learning Torah, he still has to stand when seeing his father, mother or Rabbi and he should continue learning while standing. However, if this action will cause the son to stop learning Torah, he should simply ask his parent/Rabbi forgive their kavod (respect, causing him to not have to stand when he sees them).
Shabbat Shalom!
