For
the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT’L and Haviva bat Yocheved Z’L.
From Yalkut Yosef:
1. One is not allowed to go to an apartment they are thinking of buying/renting during Shabbat to see if its suitable or if it needs any renovation the following day. This stands when the person goes in to the apartment because it is known that its for sale and they want to buy it, meaning if the apartment is empty of any people or if its newly built.
2. On Shabbat it is known to be completely in the atmosphere of
Shabbat and to distance from the weekday activites as it says in Yeshaya: Im
Tashiv MeShabbat Raglecha (58:13), your haphetzim (items/assets) are
prohibited on Shabbat, even if its something that does not include a Melacha on
Shabbat this is prhohibited to do. For example, it is prohibited for one to go
to their field (where they grow produce for sale) or factory to check if there
is anything they need to fix in it the following day. Even if one is not at the
place of work on Shabbat (where one is technically allowed to think, not
speak, about work), it is a Mitzvah to avoid thinking about work at all.
