For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT’L. Lehavdeel
For the Refua Shlema of Chai Yaakov ben Margalit shlit’a.
Translated from Yalkut Yosef Kitzur Shulchan Aruch:
1. A man who has cut off his armpit hair or his pubic hair
has violated a Torah prohibition, which is called Lo Yilbash (wearing a woman’s dress). However, it is allowed to cut
off hair in other places of the body where both men and women cut. A man is not
allowed to take out white hairs from a his black beard even in out time.
2. There is no prohibition to trim one’s mustache and it is
not a problem for the Halacha of Lo
Yilbash. It is also allowed for men to look at themselves in a mirror to
fix their clothing and look, and there is no prohibition against Lo Yilbash. There is also permission to
Talmidei Hachamim (Torah Scholars) to fix their dress.
