CLD #568

For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT'L. My grandfather's 11-month Azkara (yortzite) was this Shabbat. Doing Pesach in Eilat is a little difficult because it is so hot during the day, however; there are many spiritual perks one receives while being here. For example, today I had the zechut to explore the world under the surface of what we think is simply 'just another sea.' The Red Sea, the same body of water Hashem opened up for us to leave Mitzrayim is filled with the most exotic and amazing coral reefs. I took a nice chunk of time and threw on these snorkles and dived into the cold water.

Baruch Hashem we realized how little we are compared to Hashem's greatness. Considering the fact that there are so many different types of fish species, different types of water animals and that the coral reef is alive itself was incredible. It was inspirational seeing the interaction between the fish, the coral, and the waves making everything move in such a relaxing ryhtm.

The best part of the experience was realizing that there is a world right next door to our world. we ate, we slept, we sang and drank and prayed to Hashem in the hotel and 100 feet away there is so much going on. The most fascinating part of it was that there was this noise that you can only here when you are under the water.

This is what really blew me away. Every prayer we say, every Beracha we move our lips to, every gesture we make during a Mitzvah, everything is accounted for and creates spritual worlds far away. To take this into account means to be Jewish. To realize that just like that secret noise is there but only under the water and to believe in it even when you are away from the water is exactly how a Jew should feel when thinking about the spiritual realm. Hashem is in control of the world.

Smile, cuz Hashem loves you.
Judaism=Think. There is a whole spiritual world out there > go taste it.
