KOL HASHONEH HALACHOT BECHOL YOM MUVTACH LO SHEHOO BEN HAOLAM HABA

For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT’L. Lehavdeel For the Refua Shlema of Chai Yaakov ben Margalit shlit’a.
Translated from Mekor Chaim Kitzur Shulchan Aruch:

1. It is forbidden under the Malachot of Shabbat (actions forbidden) to juice lemons, clementines, grapefruits and all types of fruits on Shabbat. It is also forbidden to juice lemons if one is squeezing them to make lemonade, unless they first put into the cup sugar and juice the lemon on top of the sugar (and after that pour water into the drink). However, to juice a lemon on salad is permitted.

2. One is forbidden to pick fruits off trees or any type of fruit from bushes on Shabbat Kodesh. Fruits that have dropped from trees are also forbidden on Shabbat because the Chachamim (Sages) explained that one would then go onto the tree and start picking off fruits (which is the main prohibition).

SHABBAT SHEKALIM SHALOM!
