CLD #515

For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT’L.
Parashat Mishpatim is packed with straight up laws and teachings from the literal words of the Torah to the last syallble. There aren’t much stories or tales that can be used in a simple way to help inspire us to do our job in this beautiful world. However, if one reads Rashi (commentary on the Torah from 1000 years ago) they can see beautiful teachings!
In the Pasuk in Perek Kag Gimel (23:7) it says “Midevar Sheker Tirhak VeNaki VeTzadik Al Taharog Ki Lo Atzdik Rasha,” (Chabad.org translation: Distance yourself from a false matter; and do not kill a truly innocent person or one who has been declared innocent, for I will not vindicate a guilty person). This pasuk seriously needs to be taken into our hearts to help us live our lives with happiness and trust that Hashem does EVERYTHING for the good, even if it means like all hell is going to break lose.
All of us have trouble to accept the worst of the worst in our lives but we need to undertsnad that every judgment that Hashem decides upon in Shamayim and is taken into affect here is with 100% truthfulness and is looked through the eyes of Hashem and not a person made from flesh and blood. Hashem sees and hears everything even in the most darkest places on earth, the farthest stars in the universe and in the most quietest and empty deserts throughout the globe!
Rashi says on this Pasuk: “…if he emerges innocent from your hands (the Rabbincal courts) I have many agents to put him to death – with the death penalty he deserves.” Pshhhhh – Rashi basically says what Hashem is thinking during that time.
If there is a guilty person in the world, he/she won’t go free.
There is no such thing as running away from G-d (look at the book of Jonah). There is no such thing as not seeing G-d in our lives (look at the book of Shmuel Perek 9)!

Hashem controls the world, and if you think something is not good enough or something is just not going right (besides praying) just take it as Kapara La’Avonot because none of us are free from sin. Even the tiniest bug is in the hands of G-d.

So smil,e because everything has a POSITIVE reason behind it, for our own benefit!
SHABBAT SHALOM!
Don’t forget about Parashat Shekalim after Torah reading and the Mahatzit HaShekel!
