CLD #503

For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester.
The Torah is so sweet! If one does not say Shnayim Mikrah Echad Targum or at least reads the Parasha during the week to understand the beautiful Torah they are clearly missing out. Just the knowledge that one takes from it is everlasting and so exciting.
So Rashi explains beautifully from the end of Az Yashir, Shirat HaYam (the Song the Entire Nation said in Prophecy after watching Hashem washing down the walls of the Red Sea onto the Mitzrim), what “Mikedash Hashem Konenu Yadechameans. Rashi says how a Pasuk from Yeshayahu proves that Hashem created the world using powers from His single hand. However, when it comes to the Mikedash (the Beit HaMikdash in yerushalayim Ir HaKodesh), from the word “Yadecha” in the Pasuk we see Hashem used both His hands to built it! Wow. Let’s take the entire world and break it down a little.
The 93 Natural Elements in Chemistry, the entire biology behind the Human Body, all the different theories of gravity and forces of physics, all the mountains and river banks around the globe, all the birds and animals and mother nature and jungles and the plants that come from a tiny seed, all that and much much more (like the other world under the sea) comes from the power of a single Hand of Hashem. Now let’s imagine TWO HANDS of Hashem’s power being used to build one building (forget that it’s the holiest site in the planet). Only a single building.
The Beit HaMikdash, the home of Hashem. The starting point of the world. The place where Avraham Avinu almost (according to some opinions) sacrificed his OWN SON, Yitzchak for Hashem. The Place where Yaakov dreamt of the Sulam with the Angels! The place where so many things happened. The place where so many people died for. The place where nations are still in debate over.

Our home.

Im Eshkacheh Yerushalayim Tishkach Yemini. If I forget Yerushalayim let me forget my Right Hand.
How much should we put in our minds the idea of feeling a tiny bit in sadness that Hashem does not have a home. But at the same time we should always stay positive in our belief that our home will really be in our hands (our authority) and Hashem will have Rachamim (mercy) on our generation to give us the opportunity to begin building the Third and Final Beit HaMikdash!

Judaism=Think.
SHAVUA TOV!
