CLD #429

For the Refua Shlema of Mordechai Tzvi ben Sara & Binyamin ben Blanka.
Type 'WebMD' on Google and just go to the symptons checker (the body on WebMD that you click on to see what is not 100% with the body). Just click on any random part of the body. Then add in ‘juicy’ symptoms. Choose whatever you want, there are so many! It actually looks like the list never ends.

How many things can Hashem put in our body to make our health go bad, Hashem Yerachem Lo Alenu?! How much do we thank Him for our health, for the fact that we can smile with no innate scars by our mouth, for the fact that we can put on and take off our clothes without any help by others, for the fact that we can go to sleep without any pain, for the fact that we can see the words on this screen.

What we people fail to see is the good. Besides for the sympton checker on WebMD, there are so many sympton checkers in the spiritual realm! Like what for example? When everything goes smoothly. But how does that prove that we are doing the right thing? What if someone wants to promote for an event that involves women half covered?! What if he/she succeeds in the promotion of this event? Does this prove they are going in the correct path? I don’t think so.
So what is the spiritual sympton checker, or what jumpstarts this Goodness? It’s the kavanah, the intention we have behind our actions.
A cool story: Persons A and B decide to split the donation of a Wing in the Local Hospital. Both of them have a huge plaque in the front of the Hospital Wing with their names and pictures. Both go up to Shamayim after 120 beautiful years of Simcha. Person A goes to the Judging room and Person B sees him walk through the “good” doors. Person B walks in and they tell him: Sorry, your application here does not fit with the “good section.” He asks: WHY?! I donated an entire WING at the local hospital!?!? IN Panic he starts explaining how he is exactly the same like Person A. They respond: Person A did it for the people who needed help, not for the plaque on the front entrance.

Why do we do what we do? Do we think before we say something? Do we investigate the places we walk into before we even hail the cab to get there?

Judaism=Think.
What are we doing with our lives and why?
