CLD #416

For the Refua Shlema of Mordechai Tzvi ben Sara & Binyamin ben Blanka.
Thank G-d, us humans have been given a beautiful present: a brain to think. theCLD has been working on seeing or experiencing something and then being able to transfer that experience /action /story /photograph into a piece of Torah to further inspire others.
We had the zchut to experience something recently that showed us that the Torah is EVERYWHERE and we just need to open our eyes to look for it.

Unfortunately in New York, almost every Jewish teenager knows what a Huka/Nargila/Shisha is. The pipe is used to smoke tabacco (usually flavored) by placing a burning hot charcoal and having water on the bottom.

To get the charcoal hot, we obviously need to light it on fire. Most of the charcoals that are used today ignite after a while. It usually takes two or three matches/lighter switches to start up the charcoal to light and only then one can begin smoking from the Huka (which is really bad for you).

WHAT DOES THIS TEACH US? Every person in the entire world went through a 9 month period where they were in their mother’s wombs, look at Masechet Niddah (30b). This is our foundation for all of Torah, our foundation for Emunah (faith) in Hashem that is in our blood, and what makes us different from non-Jews. So one is borught into this world, and then what? They go through spiritual ups and downs and so many other things that just hurt one’s spiritual level.
BUT ONE SHOULD NOT WORRY! The way to get closer to Hashem is simple: its all about Consistency. Where do we see this? From the Huka Charcoal. Just like it takes two, three, or even four times to light up the charcoal, so too with the Jew who is in a spiritual downfall. We all need to put all our strength in getting closer to Hashem.
What does the matches/fire symbolize? The Torah, the Esh Torah (the fire of Torah). With the constant implementation of Torah we thrive to reach the highest levels of Ruchaniyut (Spirituality) and a healthly connection with Hashem.

Therefore what can YOU do to be in a holier environment? Push MULTIPLE times to get closer to Hashem & NEVER EVER EVER give up (obviously by learning Torah & following the Mitzvot of Hashem's Torah).

B’H we should all WANT TO WANT to get closer to Hashem and have the fact that “being close with Hashem=Happiness” STUCK IN OUR HEADS & HEARTS really really well.
