CLD #286

L'yilui Nishmat Avraham ben Ester & Israel ben Rivka Z"L.
I just read a little booklet given to me by a friend. Its all about the ideal 'Lev Tahor' (pure heart) and its meaning. It consists of little passages to inspire to work on one's heart and Avodat Hashem.
I randomly flipped open the book and fell on a page that consisted of a story. It read that a counselor spread out a sheet across the floor to his students/campers and it was cut up into 24 parts with 1-24 numbered on each. He asked the students to jump on the number that represented the number of hours the student believes he spends doing Avodat Hashem. What is the ideal number? Obviously 24 because we should all be trying to work for Hashem 24 hours around the clock!
However is it really possible to work Hashem, do mitzvot and live a life of Torah constantly for 24 hours?
Yes, it actually really is possible. How? One simply needs to take upon him/herself 'Ol Malchut Shamayim,' which is in short accepting upon oneself the entire Torah, mitzvot and ma'asim tovim that one can do in this world to have the privelage for their potential part in the Olam Haba. Accepting upon oneself the Torah and doing all the mitzvot in the Torah are the same thing. Why? Because in order to get to the point of doing all the Mitzvot in the Torah, one needs to first accept the Ratzon (the will) to do all the mitzvot>>>and then one really reaches the point of loving themselves. This is actually the first step needed in order to reach this lifetime spiritual potential that we all BH will reach. One who loves Hashem reaches the highest point of loving themselves because they realize that they are part of G-d.

It starts with NOW. It starts with YOU.
