1. One should prepare for minyan to pray in a tzibur and arrive there in a calm fashion by waking up early not to miss the time of kriyat shma and tefillah.
2. In order to refrain from bitul torah one should not sleep during the day. If one wants to nap during the day for a short period of time in order to stay up the same night longer for limud torah then the idea of napping is okay.
