CLD #173

SHABAT SHALOM VE CHODESH TOV!
Our Parasha, Parashat Truma discusses the kelim of the Mishkan and the Beit Hamikdash. One of the most famous kelim in the Hechal(the room where the Kohanim enter, in english: The Holy Place) of the Beit HaMikdash is the Holy Menorah. This Menorah has so many metaphors and respresents many concepts of the world. Regarding Shabat Kodesh, how can a person relate the Menorah to Shabat Kodesh. In a previous CLD we stated that in the spiritual world, Shabat Kodesh is the center of the week and beginning with Wednesday and ending with Tuesday. Now, when looking at the Menorah (besides the fact that it has a bunch of other metaphors and symbols linked to it and how its made from one piece of gold just like how all of our neshamot are from Adam HaRishon's neshama) we see it has 3 sticks on each side and one in the center. With the information given, we conclude that the center of the world, the center of the entire kdusha, the center in general is the Yom Shabat Kodesh!

Rav Chaim Mizrachi says in his drasha about Shabat "When a Jew tastes what the truth of Shabat is, it is very difficult for him to lechalel Shabat Kodesh...and that once tasting Shabat, one realizes he lives his Shabatot in the wrong way in the past."

B'H we'll have the zchut to feel the kdusha in Shabat "Ki Ze Kol HaBracha," because Shabat Kodesh is the entire bracha.
