The ability to change the mood of a room is crazy. Hashem gave us so much power just by using our speech, our body language, or simply our enthusiasm/passion regarding a certain subject. The leader of Germany in WW2, I do not want to mention his name, YimchakShmo, began a world war over charismatic speeches, sturring millions to sway into hatred against us. Leaders across the country, like the Leaders in the time of the Torah with the Migdal Bavel put into people's minds that if a tower can be built high enough, then they could reach Hashem. We need to first realize how much influence we have over other people before actually doing certain things. Next time we go into a classroom, we should smile, say hello, always begin a confrontation in a positive light. Whenever someone begins to speak Lashon Hara, or simply is in a negative mood, just start off by saying how lucky we are to have neshamot, to still be happy and follow the way of Hashem in our crazy generation.
B"H TODAY IS SO EASY For US!!! HASHEM PUT EVERYTHING IN OUR HANDS>. Baruch Hashem we all have friends who understand what Shabat is, there are hundreds of learning opportunities daily in our communities, we have the internet to browse thousands of torah sites from Israel and across the world. We have pocket siddurim, gmarot, little mussar books, Lashon Hara books, Kitzur Shulchan Aruch, etc. There are Jews everywhere at our access through the telephone, skype, facebook, etc.
We can all pick up our phones and ask our Rabbis questions about halachot. We can simply hop into a car and drive a couple of minutes to speak to our friends or mentors about spiritaul issues. How much did our ancestors do? We cannot even begin to comprehend their mesiroot nefesh, the donkey rides, the hikes, the real labor to go out of their way for a single shabat meal, or a single simcha!
So why is it still so hard? Because the power of the Yetzer Hara is so strong because he knows YOU HAVE SO MUCH POTENTIAL. YOU ARE IN THIS WORLD TO FIX SOMETHING THAT NO ONE ELSE CAN FIX! We all need to drill this into our heads. We are here for a reason, and its not to follow our instinct and our body's desires. Its time to wake up, its time to feel Judaism.
SHAVUA TOV.
I AM SO HAPPY TO BE JEWISH! ZACHINU>!!!
