CLD #171

Time to Bash on America: Baruch Hashem, everyday we see things that bring us closer to the way we should live our lives, the way of the Torah. Today in ENG 2800 our class learned about the holy ancient Greeks! So holy! The way they separated their bodies with their spiritualness. Unbelievable examples of "the height of culture." Apparently to go into battle and know your dying is a sign of honor. Hmm...go into battle and die OR stay alive without pride?!? Only in America HaKdosha can we learn so much about perfecting our midot, trying to strive to be more caring, and getting to a level where we can help eachother! <If no one got it yet I'm being sarcastic> Another amazing thing about the one of the national sports is what we get out of Boxing. A sport devoted entirely to physically weaken your opponet untill he is knocked out. Basically, who could be the bigger animal. Exactly like what we strive to be!!! We can learn sooo much from America HaKdosha! We are taught to look as best as possible (G-d forbid not to show off and feed our egos but to feel comfortable in new clothing), step on other people to survive (G-d forbid, I mean "competition is the key to success"), and be as cold as possible to other people (Baruch Hashem for the Torah). Ugh, Thank G-d for America: the engine of global education and proficiency in the world!

b"H May we literally take the words of the Torah and apply it to ourselves: "U'Vekoochotehem Lo Telechoo," and in their rules do not follow (meaning manners and behavior, NOT the laws of the land)!

B'H Shabat is 2 days away.
SHABAT SHALOM :D.
