CLD #433

For the Refua Shlema of Mordechai Tzvi ben Sara, Shalom ben Shoshana, Mazal bat Shama & Binyamin ben Blanka:

Tehillim, Psalms written by the great David HaMelech, is a book on knowledge of Hashem and basic Emunah (belief) and Bitachon (trust) in Hashem.
Perek Lamed Dalet (34), Pasuk Tet (9) goes like this: “Ashrei HaGever asher sam Hashem Mivtacho…” Praised is the man who puts Hashem as his trust…!

We all know it is easy to live a life without Hashem, it is easy to live a life to be picked up after the Zerem, or the flow of society. This means to wear the most popular brand-names, to smell like the best commercialized cologne/perfume, to have the latest gadget (even if it means to completely ruin your spirituality by using it in minyan instead of focusing on Tefillah) and to have the most expensive car. But at the same time deep inside of us we all have this crazy uncontrollable urge to just glue ourselves to a spiritual presence. Whether it be music, books, technology, nature, or a sport; we all have this urge that needs to be satisfied by accomplishing certain tasks continuously. This urge is really meant to be channeled for the direction of Avodat Hashem.
This is what David HaMelech is saying in Tehillim: Praised is the one who puts Hashem as his trust, praised is the one who channels this urge to the things that matter most for this world and the next: Torah and Mitzvot.

Sometimes we just need to speak to Hashem, our Aba in Shamayim (Heaven) and ask: “Please help me WANT to want to get close to you!!!” It’s all up to how you ask for what you need/desire from G-d.

What are our priorities? Are we healthy fish that flow against the current or do we let ourselves be devoured by the materialism and nonsense of the 5th avenue lifestyle? There is no excuse "It is too difficult," because in the end of the day you decide what is easy and difficult for yourself!

It never hurts to think, Judaism=Think.
Shavua tov.

KOL HASHONEH HALACHOT BECHOL YOM MUVTACH LO SHEHOO BEN HAOLAM HABA

For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester & Israel Ben Rivka.
Translated from Yalkut Yosef:

1. One from Israel who shaves with a knife (razor), even if people have warned him, people should explain to him the severity of using a razor and to bring him closer to Torah & Mitzvot. One should NOT chase away a man from Israel who uses a razor, because in such a generation like ours one can push a person away from religion by attacking them for not following the Torah. The Ramah in the Shulchan Aruch says one should distance him/herself from a sinner, but in a generation like ours we should bring people closer to Hashem in ways of peace and if we don’t what will it be with those sinners’ children?! All this fits for people who will change and learn from their mistakes, rather than people who will just cause others to fall spiritually, where one should distance him/herself from this person.

2. The Minhag (custom) of our Sephardic Rabbis is not to grow out long Pe’ot (long sideburns) and also based on the Kabbalah there is no immediate need to grow out one’s Pe’ot. For those who grow out their Pe’ot, and go by our brothers’ Minhagim, the Ashkenazim; should be praised with a Beracha of Tov and there is no suspicion of Yuhara (Ga’ava, unhealthly pride). But at the same time there is no chiyuv (obligation) based on Halacha to grow out one's Pe'ot.

The Tzaddikim have a spiritual light on their face. Look at the happiness on his face in the video!
Unbelievable.

PIC OF THE WEEK!

Dawn is not a time that everyone usually sees during the day. It is quiet. It has the streets deserted.
What does the dawn symolbize? The yeshuah, the redemption. Today we also do not believe ENOUGH in OURSELVES to know that there is our own redemption right around the corner.

All we gotta do is show Hashem how much we want it.
Push to succeed.
Judaism=Think.

SHAVUA TOV!
