Translated from Ve’en Lamo Michshol:
1. One should be cautious not to curse a single Jew from the
Jewish nation. Even if an individual is a wicked person that causes him
suffering, its not derech eretz
(accepted behavior) to curse him, rather he should pray for him to do Teshuva
(repentance) and to shape up his actions. If one sees another person’s children
curse, he should punish them and not have mercy on them because if children
curse, has veshalom (G-d forbid) the
parents will deserve great punishment from this.
2. Also when an individual is in the middle of doing a
Mitzvah, he should act with derech eretz.
Therefore, when an individual is wrapping himself with Tzitzit in the morning
and around him there are people, he should be cautious to do it in a calm
fashion to make sure he does not hit anyone with the strings of the Tzitzit
when wearing it.
