From Ve’En Lamo Michshol:
1. An individual who is invited to a mixed wedding of his/her relatives and is suspicious that they will create a fight/argument if they do not show up to respect their relatives, has permission to go only for the Huppah Ceremony. Immediately following the Huppah Ceremony they need to leave the wedding. This way they fulfill their obligation from Shamayim (the Heavens) and also respect their relatives by showing up to their celebration.
2. An individual who ate bread during a wedding ceremony and
mixed dancing began to occur needs to leave the wedding hall and say Birkat
HaMazon outside the ballroom. Even if an individual began saying Birkat
HaMazon and in the middle of the blessing mixed dancing started, this
individual must leave the ballroom and finish the Berachot (blessings after the
meal) outside the ballroom.
