For the Ilui
Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT’L, Yissachar ben Yona ZT’L and Haviva bat
Yocheved Z’L.
From Yalkut Yosef:
1. It is forbidden to do laundry during Hol HaMo’ed (the time we are in now between Yom Tov and Shabbat). However, an individual who only has a single outfit or robe/jacket, they can clean it via laundry.
2. All business merchandise is prohibited to sell during Hol
HaMo’ed if its not for the purpose of Sukkot (the holiday). However, if an
individual has merchandise that will not be sold in the market after the
holiday one is allowed to sell it. If one will only lose a difference in profit
by not selling it during the holiday then they are still prohibited to sell the
merchandise (ex. Fruits, milk). If the person will sell the merchandise and the
profit will go for the expenses of Sukkot then they are allowed to sell. If the
person is rich and the profit from the merchandise will not make a difference
in their wallet, then they are prohibited to sell it during Hol HaMo’ed.
