KOL HASHONEH HALACHOT BECHOL YOM MUVTACH LO SHEH'HOO BEN HA'OLAM HABA

For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT’L. Lehavdeel For the Refua Shlema of Yaakov Hai ben Margalit shlit’a.
Translated from Yalkut Yosef Kitzur Shulchan Aruch:

1. Am Yisrael (the Jewish nation) does not follow the laws (manners/behaviors) of the non-Jews, as it says Ubehukotehem Lo Telechu, And in their ways do not walk. One may not dress the same as non-Jews. One is not allowed to grow out their hair (men) or get a haircut where the sides are shaved off and only the top is left untouched. Even though there is a lenient side to the halakha of a man growing out his hair in the front, one should be stringent and cut it short. This halakha should be kept by all holy Jews, however; in regards for Talmidei Hachamim (Torah Scholars) they should be extra careful since there are times that this haircut is a sign of ga'ava and shehetz (arrogance and haughtiness).

2. One should not worry and be suspicious to follow the 12 hour clock even though those who have the custom who go by the 12 hour clock say that it is to remember the birth of jesus imach shemo (may his name be erased). And the simple custom is to be lenient (meaning one can go about his/her day using this clock).
