For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT’L. Lehavdeel
For the Refua Shlema of Chai Yaakov ben Margalit shlit’a.
Translated from Yalkut Yosef Kitzur Shulchan Aruch:
1. If one has told his friend after the Sunset of the 32nd
day of the Omer (tonight after 8:00pm EST) “do not say Vidui tonight because it
is Lag Ba’Omer, the one who said it can count the Omer with a Beracha because he did not count the full weeks and days of
the Omer and only said “tonight is the 33rd day” in abbreviation.
Also it is not his intention to count the Omer at all, rather only to say that
tonight begins Yom Tov and one should not say Vidui.
2. Whoever forgot to count the Omer on Lag Ba’Omer night and
during the day he told his friend “Today is Lag Ba’Omer,” or he told the
Shaliach Tzibbur (Hazzan) that its Lag Ba’Omer, can continue counting the Omer
the following night (34th) with a Beracha and it is as if he counted
the Omer on the 33rd (Lag).
YOM TOV!
