L’yilui Nishamt Avraham ben Ester ZT’L.
From Yalkut Yosef:
1. The one who sees his friend drown in the water or violent people are coming towards him and he/she can save them and doesn’t violate the Mitzvah of Lo Ta’amod Al Dam Re’echa (Do not stand by the shedding your fellow’s blood, chabad.org). Also if one sees a woman drowning they may not whatsoever ‘ignore’ the woman and must save her anyway he/she can. If someone becomes stringent about touching a woman in this issue they are clearly violating this Mitzvah and need to save her life, no questions asked. All this is when the situation is in one’s hand, however; one does not need to go look for these situations to save people’s lives. Therefore, one may not work as a lifeguard at a beach or pool where woman bathe, and certainly not at a mixed beach.
2. It is allowed for a single and/or married woman to go to an
educated doctor to do plastic surgery to perfect her outer beauty. There is no
suspicion to believe it is prohibited because she is hurting herself, whether
she is single and is looking for a Shidduch or she is a married woman looking
to get closer with her husband. But this must be conducted under a professional
doctor with a lot of experience to avoid any physical damage.
