For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT’L.
Only when we
really turn to Hashem like we turn to our best friends or our loved one, then
we really have His attention and have Him answer us. Whenever we truly need
something we turn to our parents and ask them or someone with the same role in
our life. If we are gifted to have amazing parents, they give us whatever we
want. The secret is to connect to Hashem on an exceptionally deep level even when we do not need something.
It is known
that there are 3 individuals that make up someone’s life, Hashem, your mother
and then your father. However, our parents always know when we are saying the truth
and when we are acting the opposite way. We must understand Hashem is the same
way. We are not standing in front of our college professor or our high school
principal or our unintelligent boss when we are in amida (prayer where
we stand in front of Hashem three times a day). We are standing in front of The
Creator of the universe, The Creator of your heart and The Mastermind of every
single living thing and pure element on this entire globe.
Therefore,
when it says in Tehillim under David HaMelech “Karov Hashem Lechol Korav Lechol
Asher Yikra’u’hu Be’Emet,” (Close is Hashem to all who call Him, to all who
call Him with sincerity) David HaMelech is not joking around. David HaMelech is
being serious hinting to us: If you want Hashem to answer you and help you and
give you whatever you think you need you must be 100% honest with Him, no jokes
and no phony cries. Hashem is the one that created you, you think He does not
know when you are being real and when you are putting on a show?
We must look
ourselves in the mirror and tell ourselves to be true. Hashem is The only one
that knows every cell and emotion in our hearts and brains. He knows
everything. This Motzei Shabbat and beginning of the week lets get together and
just enjoy the world under the guidelines of the Torah which make our
surroundings a more beautiful and enjoyable place.
If Hashem
created us, He obviously knows what is best for us and no wonder He commands us
to live a life of Torah, because that is where the real happiness rests.
