KOL HASHONEH HALACHOT BECHOL YOM MUVTACH LO SHEH'HOO BEN HA'OLAM HABA

For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT’L. Lehavdeel For the Refua Shlema of Chai Yaakov ben Margalit shlit’a.
Translated from Yalkut Yosef Kitzur Shulchan Aruch:

1. It is written in the Torah to do the Mitzvah of Counting the Omer (from the 16th of Nissan up until Shaviot, which totals seven full weeks. This means to say the Beracha of Sefirat HaOmer following Arvit (after Tzet haKochavim) which the set Perek of Tehillim (67) and Ana BeKoach.
2. Whoever began saying the Beracha of Sefirat HaOmer and realized in the middle that he is counting the wrong day (one says the Beracha and then begins counting "Today is the __ day of the Omer which is __ weeks and __ days") should simply continue because this is a Mitzvah DeRabanan. This Mitzvah is no longer done with the precise Korbanot as explained in the Torah because, letza'arenu, we do not have the Built Beit HaMikdash, therefore we are lenient when one counts the wrong day.
