For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT’L. Lehavdeel
For the Refua Shlema of Chai Yaakov ben Margalit shlit’a.
Translated from Yalkut Yosef Kitzur Shulchan Aruch:
1. All melacha
(work/actions) that are prohibited on Shabbat are prohibited on Yom Tov as
well. All types of Shevut
(comfort/relaxation/no work) related to Shabbat are allowed on Yom Tov as well.
Meaning the Torah commanded a Jewish animal-owner to have his/her animals rest
on Yom Tov and Shabbat.
2. One who cooks food on Yom Tov after they were filled up
and satisfied and ate the food until he/she can no longer eat anymore violated
Yom Tov even though cooking food is allowed. This food is not considered food
for eating because the person is already full so it stands outside the
boundaries regarding the permission to cook food on Yom Tov.
