CLD #563

For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT’L.
Gan Emunah, the Garden of Emunah, is one of the most inspirational books in our generation for our modern and crazy society (we actually gave out over 250 copies last year alone). It sends a simple message: Believe in G-d and you will be the happiest person in the world. And the best part of the book is that it is written by a Rabbi who really lives this lifestyle that every Jew should live by. After all, if Hashem is The Creator of the ENTIRE WORLD then obviously He can get us out of every situation and everything is under His control.

Gan Emunah explains that there are two main people in the world when it comes to Emunah. How did he explain it? Through the Bus-Passenger metaphor. If there is someone who is with full Emunah that Hashem is the driver of the world, then they have no problem; they actually sit on the bus without any worries.

However, the passenger without having in mind that Hashem is in control, he/she stand up, can’t get their eye off the windshield to see if the driver is going the correct way, start giving their take on how the driver should drive, start telling the driver where to go without any clue where they even are. They are sure they are correct and are so worried and stressed out it is seen all over their face and body language!

The same goes for Am Yisrael, especially now during Pesach which is symbolized through Yosef HaTzadik’s life. Yosef went through hardship after nisayon after hardship after life crisis and on and on. However, it is not written even once a single complaint that came out of Yosef HaTzadik’s mouth.

This is the same thing that we should be going through, obviously G-d forbid hardships and difficult times; however, we always need to have in mind Hashem is in control and then all the stress leaves us. Especially in regards to falling and sinning and letting the Yetzer Hara control us. We need to know even if we fall and we continue to be upset with ourselves we must must must stay happy and believe that it is in Hashem’s power to get us out of our sin. Be’ezrat Hashem we will succeed to pray to Hashem with all our heart and He will calm the Yetzer Hara down for us.

Its like taking the final push. Now is money time. In 2 days its Shevii Shel Pesach, therefore the Yetzer Hara is doing all he can to make us fall and sin so we will be upset during Yom Tov.

CHAG KASHER VE SAMEACH!
