For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester ZT’L.
Translated from Yalkut Yosef:
1. The one who goes to camp or parks somewhere for the night
and he/she has no tent or home in the area is still obligated to light Chanukah
Candles. If this person has a piece of wax (or candles), they should put them
on top of a high tree, on a table or a bench and should light the candles/wax
to fulfill the Mitzvah of Nerot Chanukah
with the proper Berachot (blessings).
2. Whoever made a mistake and lit more candles than he/she
needed (such as 3 candles on the second night or 5 candles on the fourth
night), still has fulfilled the obligation of Chanukah Candles (Yatzah yedei Chova). This means that the
person does not need to relight any candles and light the proper amount of
candles. However if one does relight the candles and even says another Beracha,
then G-d forbid they violate the prohibiton of Beracha Levatala (a Beracha said in vain), because they already
fulfilled the obligation of Nerot (candles) Chanukah.
