For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester & Israel Ben Rivka.
Translated from Yalkut Yosef:
1. A person who has a scab or any
type of wound on their body and scratches it ON SHABBAT, they should be strict
to scratch it carefully and gently to prevent cutting the scab and causing
blood to come out of the body. This is all for the Halacha that on Shabbat one
is not allowed to cause blood to come out of their body. But if blood has
already come out, Bedieved (worst
case scenario) it is not so bad.
2. One who gets dry lips and/or dry hands easily in the
Winter is not allowed to apply cream on SHABBAT to those places (chapstick
and/or hand cream), because this violates the Melacha of Memamreach.
Therefore, one also cannot apply oil on their dry hands.
SHABBAT SHALOM!
