KOL HASHONEH HALACHOT BECHOL YOM MUVTACH LO SHEHOO BEN HAOLAM HABA

For the L’yilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester, Shahin Shmuel ben Hadassa & Israel Ben Rivka.
Translated from Yalkut Yosef:

1. Forever one should set up their table for Seuda Revi’it (the Fourth Meal - Melave Malka) on Motzei Shabbat to escort the Shabbat, even if he/she are only eating a Kazayit (28 grams) of bread. It is preferable (LeChatchila) to do Melaveh Malka with bread, however, one can do it with Mezonot (for ex., cakes, cookies, pretzels, etc.). If one cannot eat Mezonot, then he/she should have fruit.

2. It is correct not to change out of one’s Shabbat clothes until they have finished Seuda Revi’it (Melaveh Malka). Also one who goes to sleep before Chatzot HaLayla, midnight based on Jewish Times, should NOT say Vidui (the Tachanun part/banging on chest to confess sins) as part of the Kriyat Shema Al HaMitah. Only after Chatzot on Motzei Shabbat one can say Vidui.

SHAVUA TOV!
Smile, because the beginning of the week (tonight) always sets the mood for the entire week!
