CLD #433

For the Refua Shlema of Mordechai Tzvi ben Sara, Shalom ben Shoshana, Mazal bat Shama & Binyamin ben Blanka:

Tehillim, Psalms written by the great David HaMelech, is a book on knowledge of Hashem and basic Emunah (belief) and Bitachon (trust) in Hashem.
Perek Lamed Dalet (34), Pasuk Tet (9) goes like this: “Ashrei HaGever asher sam Hashem Mivtacho…” Praised is the man who puts Hashem as his trust…!

We all know it is easy to live a life without Hashem, it is easy to live a life to be picked up after the Zerem, or the flow of society. This means to wear the most popular brand-names, to smell like the best commercialized cologne/perfume, to have the latest gadget (even if it means to completely ruin your spirituality by using it in minyan instead of focusing on Tefillah) and to have the most expensive car. But at the same time deep inside of us we all have this crazy uncontrollable urge to just glue ourselves to a spiritual presence. Whether it be music, books, technology, nature, or a sport; we all have this urge that needs to be satisfied by accomplishing certain tasks continuously. This urge is really meant to be channeled for the direction of Avodat Hashem.
This is what David HaMelech is saying in Tehillim: Praised is the one who puts Hashem as his trust, praised is the one who channels this urge to the things that matter most for this world and the next: Torah and Mitzvot.

Sometimes we just need to speak to Hashem, our Aba in Shamayim (Heaven) and ask: “Please help me WANT to want to get close to you!!!” It’s all up to how you ask for what you need/desire from G-d.

What are our priorities? Are we healthy fish that flow against the current or do we let ourselves be devoured by the materialism and nonsense of the 5th avenue lifestyle? There is no excuse "It is too difficult," because in the end of the day you decide what is easy and difficult for yourself!

It never hurts to think, Judaism=Think.
Shavua tov.
