CLD #432

For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester & the Refua Shlema of Mordechai Tzvi ben Sara.
Rav Eytan Rubin from Great Neck, New York said something beautiful tonight. So simple yet so inspiring. There is a famous song called: Tov LeHodot L’Hashem, it is simply good to thank Hashem.

How does it go: Tov LeHodot L’Hashem U’Lezamer Leshimcha Elyon, Lehagid Baboker Chasdecha Ul’Emunatcha BaLelot (Tehillim 92:2-3).

Translation: It is good to thank Hashem and sing to Your (Hashem) Divine name, to say thanks to Your Chessed (that I see) in the morning and for Your Emunah during the nights.

What does this mean? Why do the psukim (verses) not say that one should thank Hashem for the Chessed (kindness,charity) that Hashem does for them both in the day and in the night? Why at nighttime do we say thanks for the Emunah, belief?

Rav Eytan said like this: He said one who is in the toughest times, which is symbolized by the night, should rely on the Emunah, faith & belief that the dawn will come. After every night there is a dawn waiting to crawl upon the sky. It invites the sun and then everything is clear to the naked eye. At night its dark, its colder, its difficult to see any Yeshuah, or redemption.

B’H we should all realize, no matter what stage we are in the spiritual ladder of life, that even the hardest of hardest of times come to an end. The redemption is so close, we just need to believe its on its way and then it will come.

It all begins with you. It all begins with now.

Judaism=Think.

SHAVUA TOV!
