Rav Ades shlit'a |
For the Ilui Neshama of Avraham ben Ester & the Refua Shlema of Mordechai Tzvi ben Sara.
Rav
Ades shlit’a, the big Mekubal Rabbi who prays as Chazzan (Shaliach Tzibbur) in Netz
(sunrise morning Shacharit prayer) everyday with Rav Ovadya’s son AT THE KOTEL,
has many shiurim in Hebrew (on KolHaLashon.com). In one shiur the Rabbi explains
that he met a Jew who once did a study. He went through a group of completely
secular Jews who basically do not have any consistent actions that show they
are religious in anyway. This Jew asked this secular group: Has there ever been
a time where you depended on Hashem and just prayed to Him? Every single one
said YES! Rav Ades continues to say that each person tries to reach a point (at
a time where they are praying to Hashem) to open up their hearts and cry to
Hashem. He brings up a Pasuk from tehillim (69:9) That when a person really
puts BITACHON (dependency) on Hashem, that they understand that EVERYTHING
COMES FROM HASHEM, EVERYTHING, then they will have an open heart that just
connects to Hashem without any ‘connection breakers’ to cut off this spiritual
meditation.
If
a person is in a deep hole of problems and he/she really devotes their entire
belief and future in Hashem’s hand, then they push to cry to Hashem and they
receive the redemption/solution to their problems. When someone feels that
Hashem is the ruler of the world and always controls and creates everything,
that power causes this person to get close to Hashem. This closeness creates a
spiritual key that opens up the gates of Prayer, to make sure his/her Tefillah
(prayer) goes straight to Hashem to be answered!
The
key of Judaism and all the obstacles we have in our lives is to get closer to
Hashem. If Hashem made life easy for us, then when would we pray to him? (We
all know we can pray to Hashem all the time, its not only during Amida in
minyan or in shul, right?!) It is like a King and a Prince. The King sends off
the prince to another country to study the craft of X. After a couple weeks the
King sees he made such a mistake! He hasn’t heard anything from his son! His
son is set, has the Gold American Express Credit Card and no problems in his
way. The King purposely sends troubles (obviously nothing too dangerous) to the
Prince just so the Prince can come back and the King can see his son again.
When
Hashem sends us troubles, no matter how minor or major, He is telling us: I
MISS YOU! I WANT TO HEAR YOU CRY TO ME! I want to be with you and connect with
you!
A Prayer is just a couple
words away.
Try it. Even if you don’t
see the solution right away, Happiness is guaranteed.
Start off your week with a
prayer: "Hashem thank you for this past week, I hope this week will be even
better and I will have the zchut to feel you with me all the time! Thank you when its tough, because then I appreciate the good."
SHAVUA TOV!
