For the Refua Shlema of Mordechai Tzvi ben Sara & Binyamin ben Blanka.
Thinking a little can create a bulge effect in
one’s heart to be channeled to love Hashem, which is the goal of every Jew’s
life. The Torah was brought into the world 3300 years ago. Let’s take a minute
just to think very clear facts. The Torah is a guideline of life that brings
613 Mitzvot to help us get closer to Hashem. It is a guideline for life that
applies to every second of everyday of every month in a Jew’s life.
It is a guideline that has been relevant and
inpisiring to all Jews since the first second it was taught to Moshe Rabbenu on
Har Sinai. It is still relevant today in regards to every action we do, whether
it means to go to the bathroom or get on the subway.
So let’s take a look at the Peleh Yo’etz and
his first Mitzvah that he brings to inspire every Jew to work on: Ahavat
Hashem. To Love Hashem and its importance. He explains that there is no bigger
acquisition than having Ahavat Hashem, having a love for G-d like you have for
your parents (even bigger). The Peleh Yo’etz tells the reader that the root for
all of Avodat Hashem, working G-d, meaning to live a life of Mitzvot &
Torah is Ahavat Hashem.
It makes sense to love Hashem because it is
rooted in our blood: Emunah veBitachon
in Hashem. The Faith and reliance on Hashem to help us through thick and thin,
hot and cold, bitter and sweet is part of our physical bodies! How grateful are
we for someone on the subway or on any public transportation who prevents the bus/subway/train
from leaving the station for YOU. How grateful are we for someone who gives us
a free bottle of water?! How grateful are we for someone who gives us a waiver
for a college course?! How grateful are we for someone who buys us a car?! How
about food?! How about provides us with the ability to bring children to this
world?! How about provides our stomach with just enough acid to digest our food
and not kill us (because acid is lethal)?! How about life?!
Its all about Emunah, faith. When someone really takes a minute in their head to
run away from the upcoming test, the next homework assignment, the next
incoming SMS or email, the next football game, or even the need to re-schedule
their day because the Subway line tomorrow will not be running and realize HOW
MUCH WE ALREADY HAVE; only then they will begin to believe.
This ENTIRE WORLD is a huge distraction
created by the Yetzer Hara to get us away from loving Hashem, because that is
the key ingredient to reaching 100% happiness and success at living a life of
following the Torah and getting closer and closer to Hashem.
Judaism=Think.
Even to think what is distracting you from getting closer to
Hashem is already taking a closer step to Shlemut
(perfection).
