KOL HASHONEH HALACHOT BECHOL YOM MUVTACH LO SHEHOO BEN HAOLAM HABA

L’yilui Nishamt Avraham ben Ester, Shahin Shmuel ben Hadassa & Israel Ben Rivka.
From Yalkut Yosef about Sukkot:

Is your Sukkah Kosher?

1. The Sukkah needs to have three walls and Schach (the special Sukkah roof). The walls of the Sukkah can be made by anything that can stand against winds. This does not include bed sheets (no matter how expensive or pretty), which do not stand against the wind. Even if someone ties these sheets (or anything that cannot withstand wind power) to the Sukkah poles, one should not think this is allowed. Even if one has TWO walls and one of them is the ‘non-wind-withstandable’ sheet, it is not allowed to be used for the Sukkah walls.

2. There are three main conditions regarding the Schach to use for the Sukkah: A. the material that makes up the Schach has to be from the ground (meaning a plant), B. It has to be picked and not still connected to the ground, and C. it has to be of the material that does not ‘accept’ Tumah (spiritual dirt). For example, one cannot use Animal Hide, Fruits or Foods for the Sukkah Roof.
