L’yilui Nishamt Avraham ben Ester, Shahin Shmuel
ben Hadassa &
Israel Ben Rivka.
From Yalkut Yosef:
1. The Seven
Days between Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur symbolize the Seven days of the week.
Everyone of these Seven Days one should do Tshuva (repent by doing the process
of Regret, Vidui, Promise for Future) based on his/her capability and have the
intention to “Letaken” (fix and atone
for) sins of that day. Meaning: on the Sunday after Shabbat one should have the
intention to letaken all that he/she
sinned throughout all the Sundays of the previous year by doing Tshuva, and so
with Monday, Tuesday, etc. until Yom Kippur.
2. One who did Tshuva should AVOID the thought that he/she
is far away and distanced from the level of Tzaddikim (the Righteous) because
of the Avonot (sins) they did.
Rather, one should realize that the Tshuva they did is loved and pleasant in
front of Hashem like he/she NEVER sinned! And even more so, his/her Schar (reward) is great because this
person who did Tshuva tasted the lust of sinning and completely distanced from
the sin and conquered his/her Yetzer HaRa (Evil Desire).
YOM KIPPUR IS IN 4
DAYS.
