L’yilui Nishamt Avraham ben Ester & Shmuel ben Chana.
From Yalkut Yosef:
1. One should be cautious not to write with a beverage on
the table on Shabbat Kodesh, meaning one cannot dip his/her finger in a
drink/liquid and use his/her fingers to write something on the table.
2. On Shabbat one is allowed to bring closer to pieces of
ripped paper to have the ability to read the words on the paper. There is no
prohibition in regards to the Melacha
(Shabbat prohibition) of Writing. But its obvious one cannot tape or glue these
two pieces of ripped paper together.
3. One who rips clothing to fix the piece of clothing is
obligated by THE TORAH in regards to the prohibition of ripping on Shabbat.
Also one who separates two glued pieces of paper only when these two pieces
were glued together for a reason, but if this person separated the papers “just
because” it is allowed.
4. The majority of opinions believe one who uses Electricity
on Shabbat is obligated from THE TORAH in regards to lighting fire, and whoever
believes its only a prohibition based on the Sages, according to the Halacha
this is not true. And there is no difference between lighting electricity and
powering a flashlight on batteries.
