KOL HASHONEH HALACHOT BECHOL YOM MUVTACH LO SHEHOO BEN HAOLAM HABA

L’yilui Nishamt Avraham ben Ester, Shahin Shmuel ben Hadassa & Israel Ben Rivka.
From Ve’En Lamo Michshol:
1. From the basis of the Halacha, a Father is 100% allowed to hug and kiss his young daughter, and a grandfather is allowed to hug and kiss his young granddaughter as well. Also a son is allowed to kiss his mother and the same with a grandson and his grandmother because this is done for the reasons of unity and appreciation.

2. There are those that say that a father is allowed to kiss and hug his older daughter, even if she is married (and in Niddah), because it isn’t (G-d forbid) done for the purposes of desire. And there are those who say this is allowed only for a younger daughter. In any case, if a father is used to kiss his older daughter and she is used to kissing her father, and by not kissing her father he will get offended, the daughter for sure should not be rebuked.
