L’yilui Nishamt Avraham ben Ester & Shahin Shmuel ben Hadassa. Also for SHALOM in Eretz Yisrael!
From Ve’En Lamo Michshol:
1. Two people walking together are obligated to speak between them Limid (the study of) Torah, in order for the Torah to watch over them and keep them safe on their way. And if they do have the opportunity to speak Divrei Torah and they fail to do so, they put themselves in danger of fire specifically (Masechet Ta’anit 10b).
2. All are obligated to take with them a Sefer Kodesh when traveling, in order to read on a bus, or on the way to a Simcha, in order to learn Torah whenever one can, and this is not unhealthy pride that is against Hashem, its actually the opposite as it is written “And he should greaten pride in his heart in the Way of G-d (Divrei HaYamim).”
