L’yilui Nishamt Avraham ben Ester & Israel Ben Rivka.
From Ve’En Lamo Michshol:
1. One who recieves from a friend a gift from a messenger or food and the like, from Derech Eretz that person should call and thank him/her for the gift/food and praise him/her for Hakarat HaTov purposes.
2. One should be cautious not to curse anyone from the Jewish nation. And even a Rasha (wicked) should never be cursed, rather one should pray for him/her Lachzor BTshuva and correct his/her actions. And if someone sees his children cursing, one should hit them and not have mercy on them, because G-d forbid in the destruction of the ways of the children the parents will be punished for this.
