L’yilui Nishamt Avraham ben Ester , Israel ben Rivka & Shahin Shmuel ben Hadassa.
From Ve’En Lamo Michshol:
1. Even though we know one should avoid inviting people to Shabbat when they know they will come by doing Chillul Shabbat (by driving on Shabbat), when one wants to invite guests over for the prupose of explaining to them the value of doing Mitzvot, and to guide them on the right path of Kdusha and Yirat Shamayim (fear of Hashem), then one is allowed to do this, even though the guests will drive over on Shabbat. And this host should ask the guests not to park their cars near the home, to avoid Chillul Hashem.
2. From the basis of the Halacha, it seems like one can throw candies in Bet Knesset (Shul) on Shabbat Chatan and the like, even though there are those who eat the candy before Kiddush (which isn’t allowed), and this is not like the person throwing it is causing others to sin directly. Nevertheless, it is best to hand out these candies in little bags after Kiddush in the Bet Knesset.
3. The one who is giving a Drasha (dvar Torah) on Shabbat to people who are far from the path of Religion, and sees a person writing down the dvar Torah, he/she has to say out loud that today is Shabbat and it is prohibited to do such a thing. Even though the person continues to write the dvar Torah in a way where its private and other people do not realize, the person giving the Drasha can continue speaking and does not need to say the prohibition again. However, if the person continues to write the dvar Torah in front of everyone, its best for the person speaking to stop speaking to prevent Chillul Hashem.
