L’yilui Nishamt Avraham ben Ester , Israel ben Rivka & Shahin Shmuel ben Hadassa.
From Yalkut Yosef Kitzur Shulchan Aruch B:
1. One is allowed to brush his/her leather shoes during Shavua SheChal Bo (as we said before, it is the week of Tisha BeAv, meaning from Motzei Shabbat until the fast itself). One should not be confused and think brushing his/her shoes is similar to the prohibition of wearing/using laundered clothing/sheets.
2. There are those who are stringent in regards to showering from Rosh Chodesh Av (last Monday) until after Tisha BeAv. Even though Spharadim are lenient in this matter, it only holds up to Shavua SheChal Bo (from last night after Shabbat). This means that we are more stringent in regards to showering, which is allowed but ONLY with cold/lukewarm water. Also, during Shavua SheChal Bo, one can go into a hot mikveh if there are no other mikvehs.
TOMORROW NIGHT is Tisha BeAv. Are you ready? SHAVUA TOV.
