CLD #340

For the Refua Shlema of Mordechai Tzvi ben Sara & Moshe ben Mazal.
Why is it such a big deal that a Roman general put inside the Kodesh HaKodashim an idol after the conquering of Yerushalayim. So what?
Why is it such a big deal that (according to the Gemara) 940,000 Jews were slaughtered during the resistance of the time of the destruction of the Beit HaMikdash. So what?
Why is it such a big deal that instead of a fire burning a sacrifice on the Mizbeach (alter) in the Mikdash as Hashem commanded, there was a fire that was burning the actual Mikdash (which was the CENTER of Shefa, positive spiritual light for the world). So what?
Why is it such a big deal that there is no Korban Tamid (the daily sacrifice that was burnt twice daily that saved hundreds of lives). So what?
Why is it such a big deal that all this happened because people hated each other back then and there was no brotherly peace. SO WHAT?
Why is it such a big deal that during this time there was a huge massacre of 2.11 million people in the city of Beitar AND their bodies were left unburied for a long period of time. SO WHAT?
Why is it such a big deal that Nevuzaderan, a Roman general, killed more than 80,000 Kohanim and little children of Beit Raban. So what?
Why is it such a big deal that Hashem does not have a home, which is actually ONLY for our benefit. Hashem is perfect, He does not need a home. SO WHAT?
Why is it such a big deal to fast tomorrow night? So what? Why is it such a big deal to even care? SO what? Why is it such a big deal to believe in G-d. So what?

The foundation of Yahadut lies in something that our five senses does not pick up. We cannot touch G-d. We cannot smell G-d. We cannot see G-d. (Today) We cannot hear G-d. We cannot taste G-d (Shabat food?).
All we can do is continue looking like crazy patients wearing leather boxes on our heads and arms, stand with our legs together and bow down every now and then, and always have our lips moving to the prayers of people that died THOUSANDS of Years ago (David HaMelech, who composed the Tehillim that we sing to Hashem during Tefillah and the Anshei Knesset HaGedola who composed the Amida)!

Are we really crazy to believe in all this? Yes, because it is simply the truth, its in our blood, our Neshama yells how important it is all the time.
Does it make sense that the Jewish Nation is still alive and running (even though 80% are assimilating, including our only home, Eretz Yisrael, which is governed by people who PROMOTE anti-Torah life)? Do you really believe that a Religious Jew is really the poorest person in the world (in sentimental value and satisfaction)?

Its time to think why we are here in this world and what is our purpose.
Judaism=Think and you better believe it.
Tisha BeAv is TOMORROW NIGHT. Have you done ANYTHING AT ALL to feel some type of grief over this HUGE LOSS?
