For the Refua Shlema of Moshe ben Mazal.
On Erev Shabat, theCLD spoke about “love.”
What does it mean to love? According to the Orchot Tzaddikim to love means to give over oneself completely to Hashem Yitbarach in order to glue one self to His metaphysical light.
Many of the Rabbanim in the Yeshivot around the world ask the students a simple question: “why do you ‘love’ your girlfriend?” They either answer she’s beautiful, or maybe she does everything for me, or even because my parents like her. The point is looking at reality in a deep point of view, we see that no one really knows why they love their girlfriend.
Then the Rabbi seems like he is “brain washing” the student, but he says the True-est answer: You think you love your girlfriend because you love what she DOES FOR YOU. In reality you do not love her AT ALL.
Only when someone sits down and really looks deep into theirselves then they see what they love about x, y, and z. The ultimate happiness is when someone is doing something for someone else with 100% full love, because then they are giving with their all, and they can HONESTLY say they love Hashem.
This is the goal of every Jew. To do VeAhavta LeRe’echa Kamocha with all the heart.
B’H we should only rise in Ruchaniyut and Ahavat Chinam.
Take a minute of your Motzei Shabat and say Thank you to Hashem for EVERYTHING!
To love another Jew is to love Hashem. Judaism=Think.
