CLD #309

For the Refua Shlema of Moshe ben Mazal.
Smoking is awesome. NOT.
When one smokes he/she affects everyone around them. Besides the statistics that show that smoking kills the person him/herself, the smoke also infiltrates the lungs of the people around the smoker.
How can we understand what a Rasha (wicked person) is? Through the knowledge we have of a smoker. People who always do not understand the difference between a Tzadik and a Rasha can just look at a smoker. When a Rasha does something, more or less he/she affects the people around them, just like the average smoker (who in fact harms those around him/her). This is why Haredi Jews often find themselves willingly surrounded by other Haredi Jews. They explain that the environment that is filled with Jews who try to perfect themselves spiritually (no one is assuming that they are the perfect/ideal Jew) tends to have the best outcome in regards to spiritual success (living a life of Torah and keeping Mitzvot).
In a environment of religious people, one always runs to help the other. Due to the fear of Hashem, love of Hashem, and all around push to keep the Mitzvot, one is in constant thought of How can I help Person X and How can I help my community, because its all Mitzvot from the Torah.

B’H We will realize that the Torah and Hashem’s Mitzvot are so sweet and juicy with love and kindness, and in the end of the day it is all for our benefit. If Hashem is the creator of the world, then obviously everything He gives us is from the best source and from the basis of all good.
