L'yilui Nishmat Avraham ben Ester & Israel ben Rivka.
From Ve'En Lamo Michshol:
1. From the viewpoint of Derech Eretz and Anava (manners and modesty), one should always speak regarding himself as plural. So when one asks him "Who does this balloon belong to?" and the balloon belongs to him, he should answer "it belongs to us." And if someone asks if he did something specific, even if he was the only one who did it, he should answer "we did it."
2. Chazal tell us that one should always respect the one older than us to enter first and during their day it was respectful to let the eldest leave last. Therefore, because today it is most respectful to enter and leave first, one should respect the Chacham/Gadol by letting him leave and enter first. So when a Gadol/Chacham is by the entrance to a door, it is not Derech Eretz for a Katan (smaller in age) to enter/leave before the Gadol.
