L'yilui Nishmat Avraham ben Ester & Israel ben Rivka.
Shabat Kodesh. Eze Kaf (how amazing)!??!?!
The Goy's perspective: The Yehudim take a whole 25 hours of their week to skip around their communities and pray to G-d and eat and sing. That's amazing. But wait? They have to close their phones?!? O-M-G!!! They have to shut off their computers and their TVs. The world definitely ends after they do that.
WAIT! WAIT! WAIT! THEY CANNOT WORK?!?! Okay thats it. What kind of life is that? No work, no computers, no TV. Just time to sit, pray, eat and be with their families. How weird?
So this is what I suggest to the typical Yehudi: Get off your but, stop praying to the G-d that "doesn't exist" (Chas VeChalilah) because their is SO MUCH EVIL in the world, and go have fun! Go clubbing! Go run to the movies and spend a solid 2-3 hours watching film! Yes! This is what my life is made up of: Entertainment, Work, and my Bodily Desires that need to be satisfied.
Shabat is a 25 hour world of purity, simcha, thanking G-d, and just being with family to speak Torah and the Nisim and Nifla'ot Hashem has done for us and still does for us right now (even by breathing)! We all need to start appreciating, because Aba (Hashem) gives us everything!
Imagine seeing a father who sees his childtren upset or (even though he reminds them all the time what they are doing is bad) he sees them do things that he warned NOT to do (touching opposite sex, watching our hearing things against the Torah), or simply not being happy with what we have?! How upset do you think Hashem is that we do not all try to push eachother to our spiritual potentials?!
You can change that now. Its all in your head and its how much you want it.
I started with praying to Hashem to WANT to have the feeling of wanting to be closer to Him. We can pray for everything, even to want to pray.
Shabat Shalom!
